Danielle Toth

Associate

Originally from the Lower Mainland, Danielle moved to Victoria to attend law school. She quickly decided that instead of practicing law in a big city and representing corporate clients, she instead wanted to stay on Vancouver Island and work to achieve justice for individuals who had been harmed by others.

Prior to attending law school, Danielle earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in psychology. Danielle worked full time hours in addition to volunteering while simultaneously managing her full time course load, yet still graduated with Dean’s List Honours.

While completing her undergraduate degree, Danielle was elected as Chief Shop Steward of her CUPE local. She was the position’s youngest incumbent and revelled in representing workers’ interests and challenging long-standing policies that were unjust. This experience not only solidified Danielle’s decision to become a lawyer and allowed her to gain invaluable experience as an advocate and in negotiations, it also confirmed for Danielle that she wanted to work as plaintiff’s counsel in her future legal career.

Danielle is an athlete and grew-up playing any sport she could convince her parents to let her participate in. She played competitive soccer and was a member of the provincial soccer team before sustaining a serious knee injury that forced her to stop playing. Danielle brings the dedication, ambition and competitive nature she honed as an athlete to her role as an advocate.

In her spare time, Danielle enjoys being as active as she can. She is an avid runner, cyclist and swimmer. She competes in Ironman triathlons and also enjoys snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking.
